CHALLENGE THE INFAMOUS HWY 129

Every now and then there comes a road that calls you , you know the one that is not easy to get too but once you are there it just puts and endless smile on your face. This loop is loaded with many of those roads. I kid you not. I have ridden this exact loop many times and each time I am always surprised at the feeling, the rush, and leave absolutely no dissapointment at all. Now depending on where you are coming from I tried to make this route some highway , some area's you have no choice as only one highway exists. Last year a group of us stayed in Thessalon, but check out options long before you go as with any northern accomodations - speace is limited. Ride the 129 and all of its glory - truly take your time as it is so beautiful, run into Chaplean not far off the road and fill er up to the top - you will need as much fuel as possible to complete the next part of the journey across to Timmins. Highway 11 has some nice scenery as you wind your way down into North Bay. Stop in Marten RIver for the big fish photo opp or not, head back down towards Huntsville and Bham your back into a lots of great riding roads as you wind your way back down Highway 35 all the way to the bottom of the 401 - great way to get up and around the north and enjoy the two best roads this route has to offer. Fun factor 10+ but make sure you find a place to stay and book it. I have stayed in Thessalon, Sudbury, Timmins, Temiskaming SHores, North Bay, Bracebridge udring various Cannonballs key is to PLAN.
